ADVANTAGE
SPECIAL COMPOUNDED IMPELLERS
Impellers used in Porto-Pump are the ultimate answer to many
problems unsolved.
Porto-Pump Special Compounded impellers relieve moving parts
from excessive wear. Permits pumping dirty water as readily as
clear or clean water. Special compound impellers are installed
for pumps used to pump crude oils, fuel oil, insecticides, and
low acid content materials.
Dirt particles depress themselves in the impeller and are
cast out at the outlet side of the pump. Clearances are held
much closer than possible in metallic or non-flexible impellers.
Porto-Pump impellers actually expand themselves longitudinally
with higher pressures. This elongation seals impellers tightly
at ends where slippage occurs in conventional type of pumps.
HOSE CONNECTIONS
2" suction pipe or hose must always be used. 1-1/2"
IPS standard hose connection on pressure and outlet side. Pump
body is tapped for 1-1/2" pipe connection, and almost any
size hose connection may be used on discharge side as long as
burst pressure is rated 250# PSI or greater.
PRIMING
Hi-Outlet connections retain water in basin more than sufficient
to lubricate the impellers for resuming operation even after the
pump has been stopped for several hours at a time.
